DOL's Version of Pay-For-Play?

If you love a good contest – and who doesn’t? – the U. S. Department of Labor has come up with a couple ways to help you win some nifty prizes (i.e., cash) this summer.  We’re not talking about just a few bucks, either.  Top prize in each contest is $15,000.

You’ll need to be rather handy at developing software apps that help consumers use (possibly outdated) statistical and governmental enforcement data to make career decisions, negotiate pay increases, make relocation decisions, and take "educated action" regarding the hotel, restaurant, and retail industries.  (What does that even mean?)  Oh, and you’ll need to be pretty quick about it; the deadline for both contests is September 14.

If you’re interested, further details can be found at http://challenge.gov/Labor.
